Please Read: Important Update from Scrapblog

Dear Scrapblog Community:

We are extremely pleased to announce that as of January 18, 2011, Scrapblog has been acquired by Mixbook – a free online service that allows you to create fully customizable photo books, cards, and calendars. By bringing the two companies together, we hope to provide you with an even better digital scrapbooking experience with access to new features, new print products, and Mixbook’s excellent customer service.

What does this mean for you? Between now and January 31, 2011, you can still create and order items from Scrapblog’s website, but you will also have access to the thousands of completely free templates and creative elements Mixbook already offers for creating photo books, cards and calendars. Scrapblog will also make available high-resolution jpegs of your Scrapblog pages for you to download and save during this transition – for free.

Starting February 1, 2011, jpegs of your Scrapblog pages will continue to be available for a limited time, and we will become fully integrated with Mixbook. Once this integration is complete, you will be able to sign into www.mixbook.com with your Scrapblog username and password, and your previously uploaded photos will still be saved in your account. We think that this will make your transition to our new expanded offerings as seamless as possible.

We are confident that you will enjoy all that Mixbook has to offer. Mixbook has a deep understanding of the needs of digital scrapbookers, and we are very excited to be able to provide you with enhanced services which were previously not available. If you have any questions throughout this transition, Mixbook’s customer support team is happy to help, and you can contact them by emailing support@mixbook.com.

We look forward to seeing what you create in the years to come!

Sincerely,

Do I have to register a new account on Mixbook?

If you do not currently have an account through Mixbook, we will e-mail you directions to join Mixbook with your existing Scrapblog login and password once the transition is complete. You will then have access to the photos you uploaded to Scrapblog, so you can continue making and sharing unique digital scrapbooks, cards and calendars.

Please know that during this transition, we will use your unique e-mail address to identify your account.

What if I already have an account on Mixbook?

Please know that during this transition, we will use your unique e-mail address to identify your account.

During this transition, you will be able to order high-quality Print at Home .jpgs of your Scrapblogs for free.

To order .jpgs, please open the Scrapblog builder, click on the "Order a Print" dropdown in the upper right hand corner, then select Print at Home. Then you can click on Scrapblog pages to export - we will send you a .zip file with your design .jpgs within 24 hours.

What will happen starting on February 1, 2011?

Starting on 2/1/2011, you will not be able to start a new Scrapblog and ordering will no longer be available. You can still export a print quality .jpg of your existing Scrapblogs through 2/28/2011.

We are pleased to let you know that your existing Scrapblog credit will automatically be converted to Mixbook credit! Once the transition is complete, your credit will be converted at the rate of 50 Scrapblog credits to $1 in Mixbook credit.

What has happened to the Scrapblog Stores?

Unfortunately, we are no longer able to offer licensed content for purchase through Scrapblog.com.

What about licensed stickers and theme pages I have already purchased through Scrapblog?

You can still use all licensed stickers and theme pages that you have purchased during the transition. However, licensed stickers and theme pages will not be transferred to Mixbook. If you do have any Scrapblogs with purchased stickers and theme pages, you can still export a print quality .jpg of your Scrapblogs for free.

To order .jpgs, please launch the Scrapblog builder, click on the "Order a Print" dropdown in the upper right hand corner, then select Print at Home. Then you can click on Scrapblog pages to export - we will send you a .zip file with your design .jpgs within 24 hours.

Why does my Print-At-Home download look larger than my original design?

The extra space you see around the edges of your Scrapblog page is called the "bleed area". We included this so that if you ever want to have your page printed in a book, your pages will have an extra margin or "bleed" to be trimmed off during the printing process. If you are looking to share your Scrapblog or if you wish to print your pages at home, this bleed area can easily cropped out using a photo editing program, or trimmed off after your project is printed.
